When a so-called peaceful protester engages in illegal activity, he is no longer peaceful or a protester. He is a criminal. Criminal behavior includes blocking traffic, vandalism, assault, interfering with law enforcement, disturbing the peace (e.g. amplified noise deliberately disrupting another person’s life or livelihood), or violating someone elses civil rights, such as the right to free speech, peaceful assembly, or to listen to speech of one’s choosing.
The farce of the anti-ICE “protesters” is that they absolutely would not tolerate a peaceful counter-protest and would likely respond with physical violence and violation of their foes’ civil rights. A large portion of the legacy media and every Woke politician would pile on the counter-protesters with hysterical aspersions.
Further farce: If a Democrat—or a Republican other than Donald Trump—were president and doing similar immigration enforcement, the Woke anti-ICE morons would be at brunch and the streets quiet.
The decision to have ICE agents wear body cameras, as is done by many other law enforcement agencies, is likely to pay similar dividends: The cameras are going to capture far more evidence of anti-ICE asshattery and Woke retardation by the moronic interferers than it does abuse by ICE. I’m betting heavily on it.
The oligarchy loves illegal immigration. It provides cheap labor, depresses the wages of citizens and legal residents, decimates private sector unions, and keeps the populace divided. Anyone who undermines the enactment and enforcement of immigration laws is an ignorant tool of the oligarchy. At present, the oligarchy’s toolbox is overflowing with eager nitwits.
The Democrat establishment made the racist political calculation that illegal immigration would benefit them politically, responsible government be damned. Much more likely in the long run is that illegal immigrants who are here would eventually come to realize the Democrat establishment has embraced a platform of evil madness. Any sane person, legally here or otherwise, finds this platform utterly despicable. This is why they’ve now lost twice to a flawed candidate who is often his own worst enemy.
An adult discussion on any topic requires a starting point based in reality. You can’t debate how best to deal with gender-confused people when the other person insists a transwoman is a real woman. Likewise, one cannot debate reasonable and responsible immigration policy with an open-border lunatic who doesn’t even want illegal aliens who’ve committed violent crimes while here deported—or who demands you not use the term illegal alien.
The NFL created the position of Chief Kindness Officer. Even Big Brother would cringe at something this gay and dumb. This from an organization that openly supports BLM, an entity whose antics directly resulted in death and destruction, particularly in the black communities, during the George Floyd histrionics. The NFL is also a shameless welfare queen that connives and cajoles cities into paying for new stadiums for its billionaire owners with public funds, money the cities do not have. Also don’t forget the countless former football players who are ultimately left broke and crippled after their usefulness to the NFL is over. The NFL’s CKO is a smiley façade affixed to a vile organization. Don’t fall for it.
There is nothing lamer than protesting a comedian whose speech you find “offensive.” This is pipsqueak fascism at its most embarrassing. I’d loved to have seen one of my favorite comedians, Leonarda Jonie, who did a show in the San Francisco Bay Area on Valentine’s Day. Due to the asshats who protest and actively try to disrupt and thwart a comedian’s free speech and the right of those who wish to hear it, the exact location of the show was announced a few hours beforehand. Those overly delicate fascist wussies who engage in this childish behavior are the PROBLEM, not the comedian or her audience.
From the “Completely and Utterly Predictable File”: President Trump was reported by USA Today to want improved housing affordability AND for housing prices to go up. There are powerful interests who want the latter and don’t give a flying fuck about the former. I agree with much of what President Trump is doing, but this insane position is consistent with the elites of both political parties for whom economic bubbles in home prices and stocks are believed to represent actual wealth creation rather than the phantom equity which actually inflates these dirigibles of financial destruction. A wise person would consider these bubbles as airships filled by fools with hydrogen and awaiting the inevitable spark.
I must insist that a home is a place to live, not an investment. Calling the increase in home prices “appreciation” is the Orwellian term for what it actually is: inflation. Homeowners cheer on the increased “value” of their homes, while homebuyers lament until it’s their own turn to watch with glee the real estate comps in their neighborhood rocket upward. Our country is an industrial powerhouse whose factories churn out financial bubble after financial bubble rather than tangible goods. All the money we print and borrow must go somewhere to roost and that place is real estate and equities.
Ah, the monkey-themed video clip of Barack and Michelle Obama. Another opportunity for performative outrage by people who laugh riotously at vile memes and clips directed at those they don’t like. It doesn’t matter if the meme or clip is indecorous, offensive, irreverent, snarky, blasphemous, some sort of -phobic, or has a racial element to it. If you truly want to be free, you absolutely must endure such things. In fact, their existence is what preserves your freedom. I’m again heavily betting that those expressing the most outrage, and demanding the perpetrator be somehow punished, are far, far worse people than the creator of the clip or those who laughed at it.
Dear pro-censorship fools of any ilk: The world is a far more interesting place with offense than one sanitized of it. Also, far freer.
San Francisco Chronicle sportswriter Scott Ostler suggests that “as athletes speak, others should listen” in response to several Wokesters representing the United States at this year’s Winter Olympics using the occasion to share their inane political views with the world. I’m a huge supporter of free speech and guarantee that Mr. Ostler isn’t. If an athlete decided to use a sports event as an opportunity to opine against abortion, in support of enforcing immigration laws, or for the banning of gender-rejecting medical procedures, he would have a conniption fit. This is another prediction I’d bet heavily on.
It was cringey as hell watching the Canadian police spokesperson squirm in terror while trying to make sure he used the Tumber Ridge mass murderer’s “preferred pronouns.” Heaven forbid a dead transgender murderer gets his dead feelings hurt. I wish a reporter had asked this cowardly fool the following question: “Will the murders be entered in crime statistics as committed by a male killer or a female killer?”
As I said in a previous blog post, the fundamental (and ultimately fatal) problem facing our society is we have adult children electing and appointing other adult children to positions of authority. These adult children are the ones who can’t tolerate any notions (or comedy) not to their petulant liking. They are not just annoying as hell but outright dangerous. They are the Woke’s Brown Shirts and just as menacing as their Third Reich antecedents. As I’ve said before, these are your future camp guards and camp commandants.
