Yet another retarded apology

BD Wong takes the knee.

The Elusive Palawan Bearcat: The Endemic Binturong of Palawan - Secret Philippines

The above picture is a bearcat (from the Secret-PH.com website). This unassuming mammal is native to parts of Asia. A picture of it was—I kid you the fuck not—a source of roiling Western asshattery, far and wide from its natural habitat. Though not its fault, the beast forced us to endure yet another retarded apology from a moronic Woke wuss (yes, I realize this is a redundancy à trois).

How is this possible, you ask? Does the animal transphobically insist gender/sex is binary? Is it a MAGA supporter? Was it seen wearing blackface at a frat party? Did it like or share a tweet by Candace Owens? Did it refer to Lily Tino using male pronouns?

Oh, any of those unforgivable sins are sure to stir up a pipsqueak tempest, one reacted to as if it were a Category 5 hurricane slamming into a well-populated coastal area. The Apology-Industrial Complex demands its dose of self-flagellation and wimpy cringe, and it shall not be denied its tithes and sacrifices of freedom and dignity.

The impetus for the retarded apology was even more stupid than usual. Mike Holston posted on Instagram a picture of a bearcat accompanied by a playful request: “Name this animal…wrong answer only.” This was an obvious invitation for a humorous response.

Actor BD Wong (oh, how edgy not using periods with your initials!), despite himself being über-Woke, blundered into the humorless Woke minefield. He responded, “It appears to be a Black man.” Even the pandering capitalization of skin color couldn’t save this hapless fool.

Here’s some of the overwrought cringe Mr. Wong posted as atonement for his crime:

  • He called his bon mot a “racist trope.”
  • “Y’all I made a very bad joke.”
  • “I deleted it for Damage Control but it’s out there & continues to hurt & disappoint & I’m really very sorry about the hurt part.”
  • “Thanks if you advocate for an internet that’s safe for everybody.”
  • “Very sorry for the hurt I’ve caused & for taking lightly something so deeply injurious.”

 Jesus, what a wussy.

Allow me to distill down the reality of this farce:

  • Mr. Wong’s attempt at snark with his “Black man” response was mildly amusing. But if he was going to exploit the racial angle for a laugh, he could have been edgier by referencing a contemporary controversy (e.g., “It looks like a SNAP recipient.”)
  • The Woke are mirthless motherfuckers, as is true with all psychotic fascists.
  • Humor is often funniest when it is crass, blasphemous, snarky, inappropriate, or irreverent.
  • Humor straightjacketed to avoid any scintilla of possible offense is not humor. It is sterilized pablum intended for consumption by a world of enforced miserable sameness.
  • The problem in this pathetic kerfuffle is not the “Black man” remark. The problem is anyone who whined about it and the coward who apologized. Your embarrassing actions did not make the world a better place; instead, they added more Woke pettiness, intolerance, and meanness to it.
  • The people who either laughed at the “Black man” comment or were indifferent to it are far, far better human beings than anyone who complained, especially those who went the extra mile and deemed it “hate speech” or a “hate crime.”
  • It is remarkable—and not in a good way—that social media believed this inanity important and made it nationwide news.
  • The Woke (particularly the white ones) are inveterate patronizers of Black people. They assume Blacks are overly delicate, humorless dunderheads who must be offended by something this benign. Some Black folks, perhaps, but I’m betting heavily a lot of them would find it funny or not give a damn.
  • Mr. Wong is lying when he says he wants the internet “safe for everybody.” That’s bullshit Woke-speak in support of their fascist censorship. The Woke are vicious-as-hell about censoring notions (or jokes) not to their liking. “Safe” means suitably compliant with all tenets of Woke ideology—or else. Once again, a miserable sameness that is ruthlessly enforced.

My advice in these matters is straightforward: Never apologize to the Apology-Industrial Complex. Never be so weak that you feel the need to demand an apology from someone else. Otherwise, you demean yourself and make the world a worse place.

The world is far better if we allow humor of any type. Mr. Wong had an opportunity at championing freedom of speech, not that I expected such courage of him. He took the knee, instead.

As I’ve said before and shall do so again: To kneel once is to kneel forever.
