“What poses the greatest threat to our liberty is insult fundamentalism. It presupposes that feeling insulted is accompanied by a special right to react with violence, and it runs all the way through our era’s multiple efforts to impose restrictions on free speech.”
—Flemming Rose
In the days following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the Woke orcs gleefully celebrated his death. They couldn’t help themselves. The cheers, clapping, and demonic laughter began immediately upon the announcement of his murder—I’m talking to you, TMZ. The words and images associated with these celebrations are parsecs beyond disturbing. I can’t imagine the most depraved Nazi deathcamp guard reacting with comparable glee upon the arrival of a full train of doomed Jews.
There is a particularly horrifying aspect to their depravity: Many of these orcs are find-and-dandy with the assassination of their political foes—I’m talking to you, Julia Xu of Oberlin College. Yikes!
These celebrations and the open desire for further violence laid fully bare the vileness of the Woke soul. These people are irredeemably sick and dangerous. They are infected with a psychopathy deserving its own chapter in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Perhaps a chapter in the Book of Revelations would be more apt. They’ve caused tremendous harm and intend much more—if we let them.
Some of the orcs were fired from their jobs because of their celebratory social media posts. Which is ironic, because I guarantee that those who were fired would, without exception, want those with whom they disagree be fired and otherwise punished for opinions they don’t like. They aggressively do this with regularity. These are the people who want criminal statutes for accurately gendering a confused person (what they call “misgendering” in Orwellian terms). These are the people who seek personal and professional destruction, and often physical harm (murder in the case of Mr. Kirk), for those who oppose the vile tenets of Woke ideology. They want decent people silenced and are willing to use any means to do so.
A common thread among celebrants was an obvious sense of smug invincibility. They didn’t envision any accountability, which is not surprising. The Woke have powerful people in government and the media fully championing and enabling their evil—I’m talking to you, Governor Pritzker and the nitwits at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Evil? Isn’t that too strong a claim?
Nope. Among the tenets of their vile ideology are open borders and aggressively thwarting our immigration laws, fomenting endless racial animus, corrupting science, castrating children, allowing criminals to run amok, and crippling economies. Oh, and don’t forget their nonchalance regarding assassination.
I understand the temptation to turn the Woke’s own weapons against them. There is certainly the strong euphoria of schadenfreude in seeing them fired and otherwise canceled, especially the orcs who are teachers and healthcare professionals. These are people who have ready access to our most vulnerable, and it’s frightening to know they’re afforded this access. It is irrefutable that Woke teachers have done incalculable damage to our education system. “Good riddance!” is an honest reaction to their firings.
But amidst this chaos, we must ask ourselves: Should these despicable human beings lose their jobs for expressing odious opinions about Charlie Kirk?
The answer is no if the posts were done on their own time. Freedom of speech is too precious of a right and one which must be extended to those we loathe if it is to have any value. We must be better than the Woke and use this as an opportunity to show how much we value the right to free speech—and courageously use our speech to condemn their ideology and make it clear that their ceaseless attempts at censorship shall be fought with vigor, the further implementation of their poisonous ideology stopped, and the terrible damage done repaired.
We must set a good example because we are far better human beings than these orcs. We must demonstrate that we value the right to free speech because we absolutely should—I’m talking to you, Attorney General Pam Bondi who stupidly wants to punish so-called hate speech. We must make it crystal clear to the Woke, whether they be elected official, media lackey, or mindless minion, that we consider them an existential threat and are going to fight savagely, not against their speech and the right to espouse their terrible notions, but against the implementation of their ideology. Do not vote for anyone who works to implement the tenets of Woke ideology! Do not vote for anyone who is not fully onboard for both the fight against it and is a vigorous defender of free speech.
An exemplar of the loathsome speech we must protect is that of Australian feminist Clemintine Ford. Man, her take on the assassination of Charlie Kirk is so over-the-top that it’s crossed into self-parody of delusional Woke extremism. She is a loathsome human being whose words would shock anyone with a scintilla of decency. Allow monsters, such as Ms. Clementine, their say. Better to have their speech out in the open rather than lurking in the shadows. An enemy you can readily see and hear is easier to fight than one you can’t.
