As both the wise and foolish say, “Elections have consequences.” Too often bad ones.
The fundamental problem in democracies is we don’t elect competent and courageous people who lead by example. We elect the witless tools of our overlords. These tools are often self-serving Woke cultists and their conniving enablers.
Yes, there are terrible non-Woke politicians who also enrich themselves and do the bidding of our overlords. But the Woke ones are far worse. They do horrific damage to society. They are the ones who are members of the Democratic Party establishment.
I use the term establishment because many registered Democrats are aghast at the insanity their party leaders have fanatically embraced. Unfortunately, the bumbling Republican establishment is unable to capitalize on this and may, in fact, deliberately not want to.
If you live in a state, city, or school district run by the Democrat establishment, you’re experiencing these bad consequences, good and hard. These so-called leaders are completely and irredeemably beholden to the cult of Wokeness. It’s a totalitarian suicide cult of wanton destruction and shrill oppression. They are both destructive and micromanagey as hell.
How did this happen?
Unfortunately, we have too many adult children (e.g., the white Woke) electing other adult children to positions of authority and who then appoint other adult children to positions of authority. The result is the equivalent of giving the high school theater kids nuclear weapons and the launch codes. The fallout is devastating.
Adult children cast their ballots based on hysteria and indoctrination. Little thought is given. Little information sought. No critical thinking applied. An informed, thoughtful voter making a sober decision is a rarity. In fairness, I must admit this is often true among the non-Woke voters, as well.
Keep in mind that election campaigns invest heavily in opposition research (i.e., finding stuff to use in smearing the opponent). This is why most campaigns devolve into attacking the opponent or making silly unkeepable promises rather than selling one’s realistic policy positions. A carefully explained policy or brutal honesty is like throwing watercress sandwiches at a starving lion and expecting satisfactory satiation.
An example of Woke hysteria is Trump Derangement Syndrome. TDS is a very real mental illness and has devastating consequences for our nation. Those afflicted are not just the Woke but include people who largely agree with President Trump’s policies yet are so blinded by hate for him that they vote against their own best interests out of spite. That’s quite a price to pay, and they often whine about the results afterward, placing none of the blame on themselves.
Another problem is unengaged voters. Once the election is over, they go to sleep unless riled up by TDS. A compliant media doesn’t help either. Most reporters are lazy and incurious partisan hacks, which makes them useful idiots for those who shamelessly divide us to lord over us. Investigative journalism by the mainstream media is largely dead and is instead done by independent journalists who are then smeared by the media and politicians when the findings aren’t to their liking. The recently exposed Somali fraud in Minnesota is an example of this.
I was asked at lunch the other day if I’d ever vote for a Democrat. I made it clear that Republicans are far from perfect, but the Democrat establishment has lost its freeking mind. Irredeemably so. Many Independents and registered Democrats agree with me, which is why the Democrat establishment has now lost twice to a flawed candidate who is often his own worst enemy.
There are important reasons not to vote for a Democrat. The Democrat establishment is fanatically for many vile things. Among the absurdities and atrocities they aggressively support are the following:
- Open borders and not enforcing immigration law, including for illegal aliens who’ve committed serious crimes while here.
- Mutilating and poisoning children and adults with medically unnecessary procedures and pharmaceuticals, which they call “gender-affirming care.” They especially want to do what is accurately called “gender-rejecting treatments” to children against their parents’ wishes. They’ve passed laws allowing the government to take a child from his or her family if the parents do not comply.
- Indoctrinating children in public schools with transgender ideology and age-inappropriate sexual materials. Do children in public schools really need to learn about butt plugs?
- Undermining the First and Second Amendments. They really, really want you silenced and disarmed. This includes criminal penalties for using accurate grammar in reference to a gender-confused person (i.e., what they call “misgendering”).
- Allowing repeat criminals back onto the streets and excusifying criminal behavior.
- Keeping males in women’s prisons and competing in female sports.
- Higher taxes. Hey, someone must pay for the cost of illegal immigration and transgender medical procedures.
- Funneling money to NGOs and aggressively ignoring any fraud or incompetency committed by these organizations.
- Election fraud (they rabidly oppose sensible voter I.D. laws and want non-citizens to vote). There are jurisdictions where non-citizens can vote in local elections—this includes illegal aliens. One ramification of this is that someone who is not supposed to be here can vote to raise your taxes.
- Deliberate divisiveness and unfairness via DEI, reparations, and other identity-based shenanigans. This nonsense has devastated academia, science, and other societal institutions.
- Undermined military readiness via Woke social engineering.
- Destroying a reliable and affordable energy supply.
If you vote for a Democrat, you are voting in support of the above. Ask yourself: Do you really support this insanity?
What about the GOP?
The Republicans maintain a modicum of sanity and are against the above, but are themselves far from perfect. BOTH political parties are fiscally irresponsible, agree to unfair trade agreements at the behest of Wall Street, and allow forever wars at the behest of the Military-Industrial Complex and the Deep State. Deficit, debt, inflation, and currency debasement are the result of mad fiscal and trade policies. These endless wars needlessly harm our soldiers and wreck other countries. The elites of neither party indicate they plan to change their behavior regarding any of this.
“But the Democratic Party is pro-choice and the Republicans are anti-abortion,” argues the easily herded single-issue voter. Ostensibly this is true, but abortion is actually a nonpartisan issue. There are anti-abortion Democrat voters and pro-choice Republican ones. The abortion issue is used by the elites of BOTH parties to manipulate and distract us. The Democrat elite never wanted to codify Roe v. Wade despite their candidates swearing to do so; the GOP elite never wanted it overturned by the Supreme Court. The elites love the single-issue voter who is blind to other atrocities and incompetencies and doesn’t follow-up on a candidate’s promises once an election is over.
My suggestion is simple: DO NOT vote for a Democrat under any circumstances. Vote GOP or a competent (non-Woke) third-party candidate but hold their feet to the fire afterwards. Insist on fiscal adulthood, ceasing the forever wars, and no more unfair trade agreements that destroy our industrial base and crush our workers. Insist they fight like hell against Woke madness.
Vote, but don’t go to sleep afterwards. Keep informed. Keep engaged. Keep awake but, for God’s sake, not Woke.
